TechTreks

Although the “Hikes for Hackers” moniker rolled of the tongue nicely, I felt that there was something inherently intimidating with the word “Hackers.” It seemed to paint an instant picture in anyone’s mind that wasn’t necessarily positive for the group. To that end, I decided to rename the group to TechTreks. This did two things. First, it generalized the target audience a little to something more acceptable (if that is the right term) by our social selves. Second, it dropped the restriction on the types of endeavors that the group might take. I like the change and I hope you do too.
